Well I've made it four days so far without my precious. The first two days all I did was shake and twitch....and the nightmares, oh god the nightmares.

Day three was the day we took Chase and the rest of the family camping with the Cub Scouts. I thought this would be a great opportunity for a change of scenery, to clear my head and become one with nature again. I thought so anyway. Everything was going great at first, actually. We set up the tent, unpacked, gathered firewood, went for a hike, and ate some really good food. It wasn't until the fireworks that things went awry.

At first the fireworks were pretty cool, lots of pretty colors and stuff. But then thoughts of my precious started creeping into my mind. People said that my eyes glazed over and I started twitching. By the time the finale of the fireworks were going up, I was saying something about someone with a sword in blue base and there was a sniper hiding in the trees. Later I was found deep in the woods naked and laying in the fetal position.

I woke up the next morning in my tent, not remembering anything that happened the night before. Kids started crying and ran away screaming for mommy when they saw me come out of my tent. Thankfully my wife was there to help me through this tough time and we started packing and left as soon as possible.

I don't know what to do. My precious is so far away from me. And yet I see her everywhere I look.
