RIP James. | SadMy mouse.. he's been sick ever since I got him. I figured it was the bedding, an allergic reaction, I changed it several times, but it didn't help.
I took him to the vet today, he gave me a prescription for anti-biotics. He also gave me the info of a vet who specializes in small animals.. I figured I'd try the anti-biotics before going to the other vet.
Buy him baby food, since he hasn't been eating. Fed him all day, kept him warm. People at the pharmacy fucked up, so I never got anti-biotics.
Decided to wait until tomorrow to get anti-biotics, and if he still didn't feel good, take him to the other vet. Take him out to feed him before I go to bed.. He starts having seizures. And dies. In my hands.
I've only had him for a month.

On my journey through the rolling hills and endless fields I came across a salamander of some sort crossing a gravel road. As it skittered across in a higgle-dee-piggle-dee fashion, I pulled over, exited my vehicle, and squatted near it to gaze. It trolleyed over the rocks and into the ditch. It was actually quite endearing to see it waggle its tiny, spotted tail in nervousness at my monstrosity of a person.
Good times. Good times indeed.
